French Lunéville toilet set, 19th century - bowl, jug and soap dish
An elegant toilet set from the French workshop Lunéville from the end of the 19th century, consisting of a bowl, a jug and a soap dish. The delicate blue pattern with a natural motif of birds and aquatic plants is typical of the production of this factory and has a calm, harmonious and very timeless appearance.
The set is made of high-quality faience ceramic and bears the hallmarks of hand-made and semi-industrial production of its time. The decor is well-preserved, the glaze has a beautiful, subtle sheen. Individual pieces show small dents and traces of time, which are quite common for similar toilet sets and do not reduce their functionality or aesthetic value in any way - on the contrary, they add authenticity and a story to the whole.
How would we use it? We can imagine it in the bathroom on a wooden chest of drawers, in the bedroom as a stylish accent, or perhaps in a summer bathroom in the countryside.
