Antique French toilet set U&C Sarreguemines from the 19th century

An elegant toilet set from the renowned French workshop U&C Sarreguemines from the late 19th century, known for its high-quality faience production and precise printing of decors. The set belongs to the popular Florian collection, characterized by delicate decor with rich floral and garden motifs, complemented by small objects of everyday life - baskets, flowers and garden tools.

The condition is consistent with its age: minor chips and light cracking of the glaze, visible signs of use in places, but overall a very nice, well-preserved and aesthetically impressive piece.

The set is a beautiful example of how even purely practical objects once had their place in the interior, not only functionally, but also decoratively.

How would we use it? This jug is just begging to be seen. We would leave it standing on an open shelf in the bathroom or on a dresser in the bedroom – just like that, empty or with dried flowers. But it would also serve beautifully as a vase for a few sprigs of eucalyptus, lavender or dried herbs, which would further emphasize its French character. We can also imagine it in a cottage kitchen, filled with wooden spoons, or in a hallway.
