Set of 2 antique books from the 19th century
A pair of authentic antique books from 1809 and 1837 bring to the interior exactly the quiet magic that only truly old objects can. The first of them, Formulaire de Prières published in Paris in 1809, served as a prayer manual for the Ursuline nuns. The second, Lettres de Quelques Juifs from 1837, is an educational and literary text published for the lyceums and educational institutions of the time.
Both books bear the beautiful patina of time – torn edges or worn and torn covers here and there, written pages, minor damage, which, however, does not prevent browsing and, on the contrary, underlines their uniqueness and authenticity.
How would we use them? These books are a great decorative element. They look great on a console table, on a shelf, on a bedside table. They can serve as a basis for other arrangements - for example, under a candle, a vase, ceramics or a smaller statue. They can add character, history and soul to a space, as if they carried the stories of two centuries with them.
